The food was excellent, every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and very well prepared. The lobster dumplings were outstanding, and both the halibut and salmon were beautifully cooked. The staff was warm and attentive, though at times a bit overly attentive for our preference. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, but the noise level was unfortunately quite high, which detracted somewhat from an otherwise very enjoyable dining experience.

My husband and I came here for a birthday dinner as we’ve been wanting to try and heard good things from friends. We went on a Friday night and there was live music playing, and it was definitely an upbeat atmosphere in both the bar area and dining room. Our server was the sweetest and walked us through the menu. We tried the lobster dumplings and Asian salad… The lobster dumplings sounded better than they actually tasted, they were very doughy, but the Asian salad was very fresh and light and tangy, which was nice. We each got 12 ounce fillet and split the sautéed mushrooms and spinach side as well as the French onion mashed potatoes. Everything was extremely flavorful. The dessert menu sounded unique, but we were super full by then, so we just split the cookie sliders with torched marshmallows on the top… The cookies were a bit dry and the ice cream was just OK. I actually loved the candied pistachios and cherry garnish. Overall, this is a fun lively spot that would be fun for drinks — the meal itself was just okay.

When you’re out in Morristown or just want a date night, this place is a must stop. My wife and I randomly stopped by on a Friday night. Got a standing spot at the bar but quickly were accommodated seats by their manager, Jade. That doesn’t happen too often. Ryan was our bartender/server who was very attentive and approachable. Being a bit of a “snub”, we ordered few drinks and apps which were simply spot on. Highlight was def meeting one of their owners, George, what a great guy. Easy to talk, who himself showed us around the place for potential bigger gathering/party. The place has some hidden spots like private room and the TopGolf Suites that’s connected to the restaurant. Check it out but we are def coming back.

I visited 1776 with my sister and fiance after hearing it was a classy spot for cocktails, but the reality did not quite live up to the online photos. While the bar area itself is attractive, it was already packed before 7 PM on a Saturday. The seating area decor and vibe felt a bit inconsistent, specifically the chandeliers that looked like they were made of plastic tubes, which clashed with the upscale vibe they seemed to be aiming for. However, our waitress, Red, was a total joy and provided excellent service that kept the night on track. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The fried calamari was clearly fresh, but the batter crumbled off because it had not been fried long enough, making it a bit messy to eat. The spicy rice cakes topped with tuna and salmon were a disappointment due to an overly chewy texture that brought down the whole dish. On the bright side, the beef carpaccio was delicious and highly recommended, even if the portion felt small for the price. My sister also thoroughly enjoyed the fire roasted cauliflower with goat cheese and pine nuts, claiming it was the best she ever had, which was a relief given it was easily the most expensive head of cauliflower I have
